Hello my name is Natalia and I have been a midwife for seventeen years now. I have become passionate about documenting your pregnancy and birth journey as I feel is a very important part of bringing a new life into this world and is an empowering event in a woman's life. It is not an easy journey and sometimes it does not go according to plan as babies have their own mind but it is a moment in a parent's life that will be memorable for the coming years and a very emotional one. It is a life event worth of documenting and will make you feel empowered.
Whether your birth will take place at your own home, in a birth centre or on a labour ward I can be there to capture the first moments of you holding the baby, your newborn having skin to skin, your partner cutting the cord and the emotions of your family being complete.
My style as a birth photographer is creating black and white images of undistracted raw emotions of your childbirth. My aim is to create a unique for you story of your labour, birth and postpartum period. An album with beautiful photos of you delivering the baby, going through labour pains and copying with it, and most importantly the first few hours of you and your partner with your newborn baby.
Having worked as a midwife has helped me with capturing the perfect natural birth photos as I am fully aware of all the stages of labour. I am also a mum of two boys who have gone through both an emergency cesarean section and natural birth and can appreciate what you are going through.
The on call price:
Birth Photography Pricing
Term birth is normal to happen between 37 to 42 weeks of pregnancy. That actually means three weeks before your due date and can be up till two weeks after your due date. You can call me anytime at that point and let me know if you have started having contractions and I can come and take some documentary photos of you being in labour at home. Once you are in established labour and depending on how your labour is progressing I will be there fo your labour to take photos and will stay the first hour to document your precious moments. That means that I will be on call for potentially five weeks and will not be able to make any plans that will involve travelling more than thirty minutes away. Price: 649£
That amount needs to be paid in full by 36wks of pregnancy. Deposit taken at booking from 24 weeks onwards.
This will include:
- Being on call for up to five weeks and blocking my time for other activities
- A pre delivery photo shoot
- Labour and birth photo session
- One to two hrs post delivery photo session
- 10 black and white edited digital photos
- Sneak peak photos first 48hrs
- Private online gallery with your photos
